Chicken cooked in Coconut Milk

Alu Gobi

Okay so, before you guys jump to any conclusions, the chicken was not prepared by me. A friend, who had the audacity to get into MY kitchen and cook a  dish yummier than I ever have, is the culprit hmph. I won't deny, I'm going to enjoy the hell out of it :P cause, the way she prepares it, is finger lickin' good and also it happens to be a favorite of mine but still Grr MY KITCHEN!

Alu Gobi was all me and its also pretty darn good. Miss.IQ will agree after she gets a taste of it :D ( You may have some chicken as well if you please )  ^^

Okay so yeah that's that for now =]  Enjoy and once again thank you for your time and attention =]

  4. Recipe for approx 2 pounds of meat:

I use a combo of mirchi but you can skip that part if you want. Heat abt 2 table spns of oil in pot ...wait till oil is almost smoking ... add about 6 dried red chillies crushed up .... it will give your keema a nice smoky flavor:)

After a few seconds add about 3 large onions chopped .. brown onions and keep stirring. after onion is golden brown add about half a whole garlic chopped and about 2 inches square ginger chopped ... stir furiously .. dont let them burn. If you are using tomato paste stir in half a small can of paste once ginger and onion start giving off cooked smell. If you prefer fresh tomatoes skip this.

Also add fresh chillies (jalapeno, serrano and/or thai chilies) chopped up and stir with the onion ginger garlic (and tomato paste if applicable) ... if you are using tomato paste you have to bhuno this mix for about 20 mins until the tomato paste caramelizes.

Now add the ground meat (or soy) and start stirring ... keep stirring together until meat is nicely browned. Add two teaspns of dhania powder 1 teaspn of jeera pwder and keep stirring. Add salt and (maybe) red mirchi powder depending on how hot u want it to be. Once you see oil and water rendering frm the meat, let it cook on low flame uncovered. After about half hour stir in 2 cups of peas and let the peas cook for about 20 mins. Stir in half teaspn of garam masala and abt 2 teaspns of amchoor. (If you are using fresh tomatoes chop about 3 tomatoes and stir them in with the peas) ... let it simmer for 10 more mins .. add fresh dhania (and julienned ginger) if you wish

yumm ..lemme know how it turns out.
