Moriya Moriya Moriya re :P

Suji Halwa

Black Chana Masala

Puris

My first ever attempt at the Halwa and Omg it was/is sooo good :D Yes yes I'm proud.

The Chana, well I wanted to go a slightly different route this time around hence the gravy which was ofcourse not acceptable to a certain someone Grr so she came and dried it up and gobbled it down as well Lol However I managed to save myself some with the curry so Yayyyy :D both weren't bad at all.

and last but not the least..... Puriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii's :D No, I did not make them, as much as I wanted to give it a shot, I was kicked out of my own kitchen but oh well, I challenged HC that i could make yummier puri's so we will be having a stand off sometime in the future :)

Okay guys, enjoy, hope you all had a great weekend =] and have a great week ahead as well.

Thank you :)

and Happy Ganesh Utsav to all who celebrate it :)

Black Chana Masala (Dry)

The onions may look a little much but they were an awesome addition, thanks to Hot Chick. Initially it was just supposed to be Dry Chana Masala and I went through 10 recipes, and none of them had a mention of onions so I was very skeptical and gruffed at the idea of adding them but then I was threatened, that only I would have to eat them if onions weren't added Sigh so I gave in, and I'm glad I did. :D

What more can I say :P I passed some onto the neighbors as well and they loved it. Their exact words " Wah India ki yaad aa gayi " I was proud :D

So before I gloat and praise myself more, I shall disappear.

Once again, Miss.IQ, Guru ji, Layla , Roo - Thank you for your kind words, support and constant encouragement :)

Thought for today =]

If I feel depressed I will sing. If I feel sad I will laugh. If I feel ill I will double my labor. If I feel fear I will plunge ahead. If I feel inferior I will wear new garments. If I feel uncertain I will raise my voice. If I feel poverty I will think of wealth to come. If I feel incompetent I will think of past success. If I feel insignificant I will remember my goals. Today I will be the master of my emotions.

Sunday Dinner

Welcome to Sunday dinner at IQ's. You may be scratching your head wondering what's this you see before you.  Could that be chicken?

No, it couldn't be! (It's not. Get over it.)
So then what is it? Well let me get you seated and comfortable around the table with your napkins laid out and tucked in.

So, if you are sniffing away trying to figure out what it is, I'll get one thing out of the way, and that's the leftover cauliflower (gobi) that's in the background.

I need to inform you, I'm short of a camera. I had just such a wonderful time trying to angle my laptop to get these clicks taken properly. This is the best I could do in short notice.

Now that you're salivating, I shall let you know that the darker, for lack of proper lighting, dish is Karela. spicy karela fry, and I will inform you that is delicious.

The other dish that you're still eyeing is - dun dun dun - mango curry. Sweet, spicy, and sour, it's one of my favourites.

Oh is that a cake? Yes it is! I baked a cake. Coconut and dark chocolate. (Sorry Fred)

Chilli Paneer

So, initially I was pretty confused cause I looked up maybe 6 recipes and they were all a little different from each other so I decided to combine a little from each one and create my own personalized Chilli Paneer and here it is.
It tasted pretty good if I may say so myself.. I wish I had green bell pepper though, would've made it more appealing to the eyes but I guess Yellow and red are pretty too :P

Okay guys and especially Beedu, Enjoy =]

Cauliflower + Mushrooms

Hello everyone. Before you have a freakout wondering why IS is making so much veggie stuff at one go, it's me, IQ:P You should be able to tell that by the not-so-good quality pictures; that is, not as spectacular as Mr.Smoke's.

In any case, this was what today's menu was in my kitchen. Now the thing about my cooking is I kind of just make it up as I go. The gobi was sort of like your basic aloo gobi dish, I just didn't put aloo (shock shock), and I did add in chopped red capsicum pepper and tomatoes.

The mushrooms dish is what I made up in my head going along the way, I called it mushroom malai, because that's basically what it was. Turns out that's what it is.

I'm fond of subtle makeup. Served with hot naan. :)

And yes. Both were hits.

Goes without sayin': y'all invited, yo.

Much love,
IQ♥

Keema Mutter

Guru ji, it tasted great but does it look the way its supposed to? I felt it was more brown before I added the peas and tomatoes :P I have no idea since its the first time I've made this but in the end its the taste right... and I think your recipe was right on the dot there.

Thank you Guru ji =]

Randomness

Umm.. I feel like talking about something but I have no idea what it is. Been racking my brains for the past half hour while my Keema mutter cooks but to no avail :(
How do you guys do it? @ Miss.IQ and Roo ! Ahh

Don't get me wrong, its not like my mind is a blank and I can't think, there's a lot on my mind I wish I could just rattle away but its hard to, without not getting lost in my own world and thoughts. So again, what do I write about?

Okay, I think I got it, well at least I hope so.

Nope, just as I was about to start I got a call from a certain someone asking me what movie playing in theaters  currently is worth watching, so yeah, after him reciting movie names over the phone and me IMDB'ing them, I told him to just chill and go for a drive instead Lol to which he agreed happily.

Now what? should I just shut up and go back to blogging my thoughts in my own mind? Miss.IQ, don't frown :P I will make sure i share at least one thing..

( 10 minutes later )

I know what I'll do, imma just share a stupid convo I had just now with HOT CHICK :P

ME : Since you're such a good cook, can you taste my keema and tell me if anything's missing?

HOT CHICK : I would but my mouth wants cake right now so get me some cake and then I will think about whatever it is you asked me.

ME: Okay fine

( After glaring and giving nasty looks while Madame finished her cake )

ME: C'mon now, taste it.

HOT CHICK: Its not bad but maybe you could brown it a little more.

ME: Can you do it, I'm trying to post my first proper blog ever?

HOT CHICK: I'm not your servant !!!!

ME: Grrr you're such a................................................ argg WOMAN!

and that was that hmphh btw Guru ji, it came out pretty good and I will post the pic soon, once I'm done with the make up and everything :D

Okay people, show is over..... Bye now =]

Chicken cooked in Coconut Milk

Alu Gobi

Okay so, before you guys jump to any conclusions, the chicken was not prepared by me. A friend, who had the audacity to get into MY kitchen and cook a  dish yummier than I ever have, is the culprit hmph. I won't deny, I'm going to enjoy the hell out of it :P cause, the way she prepares it, is finger lickin' good and also it happens to be a favorite of mine but still Grr MY KITCHEN!

Alu Gobi was all me and its also pretty darn good. Miss.IQ will agree after she gets a taste of it :D ( You may have some chicken as well if you please )  ^^

Okay so yeah that's that for now =]  Enjoy and once again thank you for your time and attention =]
